Your first visit, without surprises
Here's exactly what happens when you walk in, how we handle insurance, and what our policies are, so nothing about your first appointment is a mystery.
What your first visit looks like
-
A warm welcome
Our front-desk team greets you, takes your insurance card, and helps with the paperwork. Do your forms online ahead of time, or arrive about ten minutes early and do them here.
-
Exam, X-rays & honest talk
We review your medical history (your mouth and your health are connected), take X-rays, and do a thorough exam. Then the dentist sits down and explains what's actually going on, in plain English.
-
A plan you understand
You leave knowing what needs doing, what can wait, what it is expected to cost, and what your insurance is expected to cover. No pressure and no "while we're in there."
Insurance & payment, minus the headache
- We file every insurance claim for you, and help you get the most from your benefits.
- CareCredit financing for spreading out larger costs.
- Payment plans designed around your schedule for major work.
- Cash, check, and major credit cards accepted.

Two office policies, stated plainly
Cancellations: life happens. We just ask for 24 hours' notice so we can offer your slot to another patient. No-shows without notice may carry a fee.
Safety: we follow the standards recommended by the American Dental Association, OSHA, and the CDC. Every room, every visit.
Questions new patients ask us
We work with most dental insurance and file every claim for you: you bring the card, we do the paperwork. Call (803) 356-6030 with your plan name and we'll check it before your first visit.
Your insurance card, a photo ID, and a list of medications you take. If you have recent X-rays from another office, bring those too. It can save you time and money.
Talk to us before you skip care. For bigger treatment we build a payment plan with a schedule that fits, and CareCredit financing is available. We'd rather work out the money than watch a small problem become a big one.
Yes. We're a family practice and see patients of all ages, from first teeth to full dentures.
Our first appointments start at 7:00 AM Monday through Thursday. Patients love getting their cleaning done before work.
Tell us when you book. It changes how we plan your visit. We offer nitrous oxide, anti-anxiety medication, and oral sedation, and nobody here lectures anybody about how long it's been.
Life happens. We just ask for 24 hours' notice so we can offer your slot to another patient. Missing an appointment without notice may carry a fee.
